The glasshouse will drop with the walls, so you need to be in walls-up mode when placing it in your game.

The separate glasshouse base ring is entirely optional — it is purely so you can see where the glasshouse is positioned when it is invisible in the walls-down mode.

The sage herb is off-centred to fill those odd little corners — it's not suitable against a wall.

You might need to experiment to find plants which do not bleed through the glass.

The 'no door' piece will make a glasshouse without any doorways. The other piece will make one with four doors. They can be mixed and matched so if you want your Sims to enter the glasshouse, you will need to use (at least) one section with a doorway.

There is a wee trick to the glasshouse base. Position your glasshouse FIRST, and then position the base inside it. Doing it in that order will make sure the glass walls behave themselves and stay in 'front' of the base.

The half dome needs to be flipped to get the front and back views. You could also get rid of the complete dome (above) if you have this one.
The two extension pieces (one with a doorway, one without) are interchangeable.

The portal will not drop
with the walls.
The geodesic dome is made the same way as the Victorian glasshouse, and will drop with the walls.

If you want your Sims to enter the dome, you will need to use (at least) one section with a doorway.

The Sims can walk through the taro and arrow arums planted in the ground.

The last flowering of a titan arum at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew was in 2003. Have a look here.

To Aussie Pete who reminded me that geodesic domes exist, a thank you.

It's debatable how practical the domes are as a Sim home. If you want to put down a 6x6-tile floor underneath your dome, the geodome grass object will help disguise the corners.

A toilet which does not require a wall behind it (cloned from the original Sims' expensive version) can be found on the Indoors/Bathroom page.
For those who wish to extend their glasshouse in both directions, this roof piece should fill any gaps.

By placing the (above) Victorian glasshouse extension pieces together, it is possible to link two or more elliptical glasshouses. The end piece just makes it look less of an afterthought!

The autumn leaves are a
4-tiled groundcover which can be flipped to create an uneven scattering over the ground.

The small red Japanese Maple tree in the centre can be found on the Winery page.

Inspired by pictures of the Royal Pavillion in Brighton, UK, here is a Sims' version. It is in two pieces, but be warned — it is very tall and may flicker annoyingly in the game.

The pheasant does not need feeding, nor will it induce any illness. It does increase in value and may be sold for a good profit.
